Ferinject
Iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anaemia are common and often ignored problems. Iron tablets are the routine form of treatment, but are often insufficient. Ferinject is a new form of iron for intravenous administration without the limitations traditionally associated with this form of treatment. With Ferinject the iron deficiency can quickly be corrected, allowing the possibility of outpatient care, which is the launch campaign's primary target area.
